Again I haven't posted anything in some time, but I've been really busy with sports and school so sorry about that. I'll get right to the car, this post is going to be about the McLaren 650S which was announced in 2014, but based on the MP4-12C.
The 650S is available in two versions: The coupé and the spider. The coupé version (the one seen in the pictures) is powered by a twin turbo V8 which boasts 650 PS and let's it get up to speeds of 333 km/h (207 mp/h). All this is done at incredible speeds as well, for 0-100 km/h it only takes this McLaren 3 seconds! The spider has a slightly lower top speed at 329 km/h. The 0-100 time is still the same but to 200 km/h it takes the spider 8.6 seconds whereas it takes the coupé 8.4, but in exchange you get to drive with the top down! According to Car and Driver the 650S costs about $265,000 which is quite a bit, but then again a Lamborghini Aventador goes 0-62 in 3 seconds as well and is a whole lot more expensive. I hope you like the pictures and let me know what car you would like to see in the next post!

Playing Around in a Tesla
This week, wednesday to be exact, my friends Fabio, Sabina and I decided to head to the city to check out the new Tesla store that was built there recently.
When we came in there were two customers who were being advised. We peeked around the cars for a bit, not sure if it was alright to sit in them, but when we opened the door no one said anything so we assumed it would be ok. After taking a look at the interior I asked one of the employees, who was very friendly which was nice for change since when we went to the Bentley store they were quite rude and unfriendly, some questions about the car and the different models. After that he welcomed us to make ourselves at home and to check out the cars for as long as we want, which, needless to say, was extremely kind!
The Model S is also quite known for the big screen in the middle of the console and some people argue that it is too big, but I just love it! It fits so perfectly with the car and it's image and if you don't like it that much it's possible to turn it off either completely or half of it since it is divided into a top and bottom section. Did I mention yet that it has wifi connectivity? I did a post on the Model S before in Seabrook, Washington and uploaded those pictures to my blog. In the Telsa in Geneva we pulled up my blog and opened up the pictures of me in a Tesla in a Tesla, get it ;), and then also turned on the rear camera and I went behind the car and my friend took a picture of that :)
One more great thing about the Model S is the rear seating capability. Since there is no real middle console you have tons of legroom even if you sit in the middle which doesn't really apply to most cars. This means you basically have 3 full rear seats and not the usual 2.5.
Another great feature is the amount of space you have for luggage! Since the batteries are built into the chassis' floor you have a trunk in the front and the back!! The one in the back is so big that you can throw in 2 more seats for children if you want.
After checking out all these great features we played around a bit more with the car and just had an absolute blast!! Thank you Tesla store Geneva for making this possible and for being so kind to us!

Audi Dealer
Today 3rd and 4th period got cancelled in school so Fabio, Philipp and I decided to go to the city. While pulling up to the Audi dealer I had the idea of going there instead and checking out the cars. First we took a look at the new TT S ( I'll do a seperate post on that one once I get some pictures of it. I forgot to take some there.). Afterwards I asked if it would be possible to sit in the R8 and the employee said that if it was open we could. We went upstairs to where it was located and to our luck it was open :) I already made a post on the R8 earlier this year where you can find some technical information. Here are some pics I took:

Aston Adventures
As the name already says I had a little adventure with an Aston Martin this morning. An Aston Martin Vantage to be precise. This how it all started off: This morning I got up to go to crew and once I arrived I saw an Aston. I then asked my coach whose it was and he told me. Later after practice was over I went over to the car to check it out and that's when the owner came because he was also finished. Earlier when I talked to him he offered that I could have a drive in it one day, but I never expected it to be that day. So he generously asked if I wanted to ride and I accepted. He then dropped me off at the bus station after we went for a little ride. Here is a quick video...
At this point I just want to say thank you to the owner of the Aston. I really appreciate it and I had a blast!!

My Favorite Car
I'm so glad that I'm finally writing this post because the Phantom has to be my favorite car out there! As the title already says, the Phantom is built by Rolls Royce and one with an even heftier price tag than the Ghost which I covered in the last post. Depending on which model you get, the price ranges between $402,000 and $472,000. There are four versions of the Phantom out there. There is the standard Phantom, the Phantom Extended Wheelbase, which has a longer chassis leading to more space. There is also the coupé version which has two doors and the Drophead Coupé which is the convertible version of the coupé with two doors instead of four as well. All these models are powered by a V12 engine.
The thing I love most about the Phantom is the sense of comfort you get while sitting in one. The only way I would know how to describe it, is that it's like sitting in your living room with all the comforts of your home available to you, just that it's a car :) Also the roof is incredible! Rolls Royce has this feature where the lining of the roof gets illuminated by tiny LEDs which look like stars at night!

Rolls Royce Ghost
I haven't posted anything in quite some time, which I apologize for. I just have been very busy with the start of school and upcoming tests. Thankfully fall break starts Monday next week so I can definitely post some more :)
On to the Ghost now! The Rolls Royce Ghost is the medium sized car of the Rolls Royce lineup, which currently includes the Phantom, the Wraith, and obviously the Ghost. If you want to see my post on the Wraith just click here: http://carsofgeneva.blogspot.ch/2014/09/the-open-window-on-rolls-royce-wraith.html.
The Ghost is powered by a 6.6 liter V12 engine, but like most of the cars from Rolls Royce, the real beauty in my opinion, lies in the inside. There are two versions of the Ghost: the regular one and the extended wheelbase version, which offers you 17 centimeters more legroom. While attending the car show in Geneva earlier this year I also got the opportunity to sit in the Ghost and I have to say it's incredible! The attention to detail amazes me again and again every time I see a Rolls Royce, whether it be in the streets or at a car show. If you do choose to buy the latest Ghost, the 2014 model, it will set you back about $250,000 and that is the only base price. For that money you get a car which boasts some of the latest technology and looks amazing and best of all, gets you to your destination in style every time! Now wether you are willing to spend your hard earned bucks on it is up to you ;)

The Open Window on the Rolls Royce Wraith
After I left my friends house in Geneva I got on the bus to ride to the train station. While passing the Mont-Blanc bridge I looked out just as the bus was passing the 4 Seasons Hotel. There standing in front of the hotel was the Rolls Royce Wraith. Since me and my friends already got to photograph the Phantom and the Ghost that day I was keen to get some pictures of the Wraith as well. Once I got out of the bus and walked to the Wraith I noticed that one of the Windows was open so I went to find one of the hotel's employees. Once I got the hold of one I told him about the Window and he was shocked to hear the news. Right away he got the keys and we went over to the Wraith only to find that it didn't open. The employee was a bit confused and then I realized that there was a Rolls Royce Phantom parked just three cars away so I mentioned it to him. He then went inside to get the right keys. Once he got them he closed the window and said thank you to me. Sadly he didn't offer me a free night in the hotel or something like that ;)
The Rolls Royce Wraith was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 and sports a twin turbo V12 engine putting out 632 PS and it features an 8 speed automatic transmission. Otherwise there is not much needed to say about the car and it's performance because the true beauty lies in the inside, besides the body which is also stunning of course. When I went to the Geneva Motor Show this year I had the amazing opportunity to get to sit in the Wraith and I have to say it is absolutely incredible! To see more of the inside you should head over to the Rolls Royce website though because I didn't get the opportunity to take pictures of the inside when I was in the city.

Ferrai 458 Speciale
Last Tuesday I went into the city with two of my friends, Philipp and Fabio, to hang out and see what was driving around. Besides seeing 5 Rolls Royce (I'm going to do a post on the Wraith which we saw next), a couple of Bentleys and Maseratis and other nice cars we also came across one of our all-time favorites: the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
The 458 Speciale from Ferrari is a truly exceptional car. To start things off the 458 Speciale is based on the 458 Italia just that the Speciale has some body features which makes it lighter and lends it better performance. It also holds a 35 Hp power increase. The Speciale is powered by a naturally aspirated V8 which boasts a total of 562 HP which propels it from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3 seconds flat. But the power from the V8 doesn't end there, it keeps pushing the Speciale to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.1 seconds. Some more differences between the 458 Speciale and the regular 458 Italia are the two vertical flaps in the front of the car. At speeds below 170 km/h (106 mph) the flaps are closed to make sure the engine is nice and cool, but as soon as the car reaches speeds above 170 km/h the vertical flaps open to decrease drag. Then if you take a peek around the back of the car you will discover that there is a set of horizontal flaps which at speeds above 220 km/h (137 mph) lower to balance downforce between the front and rear axles. The horizontal flaps are able to be lowered by 17°.
Now I can't make this post without telling you a little story about my friend Fabio. Last weekend Fabio's neighbors had a birthday party for their child. At one point someone pulls up in a Ferrari 458 Speciale and, needless to say, Fabio rushed outside to check it out. Once outside he started taking pictures when all of a sudden the woman driving the Ferrari asked him if he wanted to have a look inside and start the engine. Of course he jumped at the opportunity and turned on the 458 Speciale and he says it was absolutely amazing. I have to say that I'm extremely happy for Fabio that he had this special opportunity, although I can't say that I'm not jealous :) And in the end I truly am in love with this car and wished I had one in my driveway as well! Below are some pictures of the one Philipp, Fabio and I saw in the city.
