Tesla Model S

On my summer vacation this year I flew to the US as most of you know. There I was also in Seattle from where we then drove to Seabrook, an amazing little beach town, with our friends to spend a couple of days in their house. Once we got there I remembered that their neighbors had a Tesla there last year so I asked if they still had it and after our friends told us they did, Jason took me over to introduce me to the owner. The owner was extremely kind and showed me all around the car. After taking the pictures for the blog I talked to him some more about the "Superchargers", which I will get back to later.

For those of you who don't know Tesla, here are some facts and details. Tesla Motors was founded by a group of Silicon Valley engineers in 2003 (one of them is Elon Musk, in case any of you know him). The first model that launched was the Tesla Roadster, which was on the streets in 2008. The Roadster was able to go from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and had a range of 245 miles per charge (394 kilometers). Then in 2012 the Model S took to the streets. The Model S is a premium sedan which offers seating for 5 and another 2 optional seats in the trunk. The Model S is not quite as quick as the Tesla Roadster, but still manages an impressive 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds! The range of the Model S isn't too shabby either, it has a 265 mile (426.4 kilometer) range per charge. Oh, did I forget to mention that it's 100% electric?! That's right it has 0 Emissions and runs purely on electricity!!

Here are some pictures of the one I was in:

And there was another one charging just down the road at one of Seabrook's public charging stations.

One of the most impressive things about Tesla, in my opinion, is their "Superchargers". The  "Superchargers" are located all over the US and are free! Not only that, but it takes only 30 minutes and you have a range of 170 miles (273.5 kilometers)! You can check out a map of the "Superchargers" and where Tesla is planning to build them over here: http://www.teslamotors.com/supercharger

At this point I would like to thank the owner for being so kind and showing me around the car!!!

Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron Pur Sang

Ok, so I just got back to Geneva on Friday from Seattle. but anyway this is the story of how I came across the Bugatti Pur Sang, a special edition from Bugatti based on the Bugatti Veyron 16.4.  One morning my dad was driving me to sailing practice and on the way we passed the Kempinski Hotel and I couldn't believe what I saw, a Bugatti! This was quite a coincidence since just the day before I was talking to my friend about how badly I wanted to see one since he had already seen one in the city once and I hadn't until then, and there it was. We where not able to stop on the way to take pictures since I was running late, but as soon as practice was over I went back to the hotel to try to take some photos before the owner left the hotel, and it paid off!

The Bugatti EB 16.4 Veyron Pur Sang is a special edition of which only 5 where made. So needles to say it's quite amazing to have come across one in Geneva! Even more so is that it is not the one registered in Geneva because there is another Pur Sang which is registered in Geneva, which has been seen in Monaco and the likes.

The difference between the Pur Sang and the standard Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is that the Pur Sang has clear coated carbon fiber body with the rest of it being polished aluminum. The Pur Sang still has 1001 HP and a top speed of over 400 km/h.

I really hope to see more cars like this in the streets of Geneva.  Stay tuned for more pictures of nice cars in Geneva and an exclusive view of the Tesla Model S and comment below of what cars you would like to see more of!

Vacation in the States

So I haven't posted anything in some time because I'm on vacation in the states right now. I'm not able to post any pictures of Geneva right now since I didn't take my computer with me, but I do have some pictures of some cars from Las Vegas.

Once I'm back in Geneva there will be a post about a special car and a quite rare one as well! Leave your guesses in the comments below and then we will see who was right :)
