Mercedes Benz G63 6x6 AMG

On Friday I came across the most amazing car I have ever seen in Geneva! If you have heard of this car already you know why it's just amazing. To start things off it has... wait, actually I should tell you how I came across it first. After school on Friday I went home before practice and was casually enjoying a nice game of Fifa 15 when all of a sudden I got a text from my friend Fabio. In the text it said "ICH KRIEGE EINEN HERZINFAKT", which basically translates to "I'M ABOU TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK". I already knew it would be because something really special was driving around Geneva, but when I heard it was the 6x6 by Mercedes I couldn't believe it! I have always wanted to see that car on the streets and besides seeing Brabus' version of it at the Geneva Motor Show I only saw pictures on the internet.

I then immediately grabbed my camera and packed my bag for practice, which would start at 6 PM in Geneva and ran down to catch the next train heading into the city. In the meantime my friend Fabio went home to get his big camera as well, which he got for christmas. I arrived at the train station and ran all the way across the middle of Geneva to the Omega store, where the 6x6 was parked when Fabio was there. After getting there I was so disappointed because it was gone. Around the corner was a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta so I took some pictures of that while I waited for Fabio. When he got there we started thinking and realized that, unless the owner was visiting family, he would probably stay in a hotel since the license plate was German. We started walking across the bridge again to get to the side where the fancy hotels are. Since it wasn't at the 4 Seasons we figured he would probably be at the Kempinski or the President Wilson. We walked to both hotels along the waterfront, but with no sign of the Benz. We where feeling quite glum and disappointed when, all of a sudden, we heard the distinctive roar of a V8. We turned around only to see the 6x6 blasting by us at full speed! We ran as fast as  we could to catch up to it. Luckily there was a ton of traffic and the traffic lights in Geneva are really weird so he had to stop at every light, allowing us to get some pictures of the Mercedes. Sadly it was quite dark at that time so it was really hard to get some quality pictures.

Once the Mercedes got to the bridge it had the open road ahead of him so it was quite difficult to keep up with it. The bridge has two sidewalks and I took the one on the lake side and Fabio took the one opposite of me, which turned out to be very fortunate for him! The 6x6 had parked along the street and everyone besides the driver went to buy something, which gave Fabio the chance to talk to the owner and when he asked if he could take a picture of the inside the owner said of course and got out allowing him to get a nice picture which you can see below. The owner was super nice and asked what website the pictures where going up on and Fabio gave him the address, so if he is reading this right now I want to say thank you in the name of Fabio and I and we really appreciate what he did for us!

Now onto some specs! The Mercedes Benz G63 6x6 AMG is powered by a twin turbocharged 5.5 liter AMG V8 producing 536 horsepower and allowing this car to go from 0-62 mph in just 7 seconds which is impressive for a car weighing 3850 kg. It also produces a staggering 760 Nm of torque. What's also staggering is the price tag: about $525,000! Although you do get a lot of car for your money :)

One last thing, some of the pictures are from Fabio because it was quite difficult to get some quality shots in the dark, so a big thank you to him for that!
