When I got there with my friend we where asked if we wanted someone to show us around and when we said yes one of their employees came right away and started showing us around the cars. The highlights there where the Vantage GT3, the name was now changed to GT12 because Porsche claims ownership of the GT3 label, the Vulcan, the Lagonda and the matte white Vanquish.
The Vantage GT12 is limited to 100 vehicles and is based on the regular Vanatge, but it is still street legal. The car has a 6 Liter V12 engine capable of producing up to 600 HP and the whole car is lighter as well, it lost 100 kg, compared to the V12 Vantage S. It also has a new carbon front splitter and a rear wing for increased downforce.
The Vulcan is a truly special car which is being built by Aston Martin as well and is limited to only 24 copies. Aston Martin keeps the car for you and takes care of it and then transports it to exclusive track day events where you get private coaching in different cars, including the One-77, building up to the Vulcan. the Vulcan has a massive rear wing for downforce and I was also told that it is more dangerous to drive the car at a slower speed than at high speeds because at low speeds the spoiler doesn't create enough downforce, so you are better off driving fast, where there is more downforce.
The car is powered by a 7 liter V12 engine producing more than 800 bhp. The power is then directed to the rear wheels. The car that was at the car show wasn't a real one, just a model, but it still looked stunning!
The next car which I want to mention is the Lagonda. This car is only available in Europe, South Africa and the Middle East. I don't know a lot about it, except the fact that you can customize it completely to your desires and that it's intended to be the best sports saloon out there.
The last car and a beautiful one is the Vanquish Volante. It is powered by a V12 producing 568 bhp, which lets this car go from 0-62 in 3.8 seconds. It has a top speed of 197 mph and delivers 630 Nm of torque. The version there was colored in a matte white which looked amazing. It was also fully customized by the Q branch of Aston Martin and had yellow highlights everywhere which looked awesome. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and how it is possible to pretty much customize every part of the car. Even the paddle shifters got customized so that the colors would fit perfectly with the car! It's also possible to buy a matching luggage set with the car which is pretty cool and there is enough space in the trunk to make this possible, which is not always the case with sports cars.
To wrap things up I want to thank Aston Martin for giving me this great opportunity to experience all their cars and hopefully it will work out again next year :)
