Two Very Special Aventadors

A couple of weeks back my friend texted me saying that his buddy was coming to Geneva with two Aventadors and staying for a couple of days at Le Richemond. The two Aventadors in question were the Aventador SV Roadster and the Aventador Miura edition. Both looked and sounded amazing as one might expect, but seeing both of them together was truly epic.

The Aventador LP 750-4 SV Roadster is powered by a V12 putting out 750 horsepower and is all wheel drive. The other main changes that are noticeable are cosmetic ones, like wheels, aerodynamics (Wing, diffuser, etc.) and a new exhaust system, although I prefer the look of the one on the non SV Aventadors more concerning the exhaust. Yet one must remember that, according to Lamborghini, the SV lapped the Nürburgring in under 7 minutes and only two minutes slower than the Porsche 918 Spyder. That is quite an impressive feat.

The Aventador Miura edition, of which only 50 have been built, is a Homage to the old Lamborghini Miura and therefore has a special color scheme and a bit of an upgraded engine, along with a cooler badge on the side. It is also powered by a V12, but this one "only" produces 700 horsepower, compared to the SV. Needless to say it's still a lot!!

In the end it was awesome to seeing both of these cars and I enjoyed taking pictures and just chatting cars with other car enthusiasts, but I wouldn't buy an Aventador. It has an awesome presence on the streets and the looks are really bedroom wall pin up poster, but in that car category I would choose the Ferrari F12. I just prefer it concerning looks and sound and so on, especially when you compare the SV with the F12 TDF. What car of the two do you guys prefer?

DMC Aventador in Geneva

This summer and early fall some of you may have seen that there was the Mansory Crew cruising around Europe, stopping by Geneva a couple of times. One afternoon my friend sent me a text that the G63 6x6 was in Geneva again and was parked by the President Wilson Hotel. I grabbed my bike and rode out to get some pics (I'll do a separate post on the Mansory Crew later on!).

While taking pictures we suddenly heard the thunderous and bass heavy noise of an Aventador. We just made it over to the street, to see it driving by. We tried to get some pictures, but there were too many cars in front and it was impossible to get a clean shot. We were a little upset, but our attention turned to the 6x6 again. About 15 minutes later we heard the Aventador again and just made it over to the street to see it thundering along. Resembling more a fighter jet than a car, we were decided on doing what it took to get some clean pictures of this car.

We figured that it had to pass by us again and got ready. As soon as we heard it we were ready to go. We tried to get some pictures there, but the surroundings weren't nice and the pictures didn't come out good AGAIN! I hopped on my bike and rode after it as fast as I dared in the heavy traffic until I caught up to it. The victory didn't last long though. As soon as the DMC Aventador made it to the bridge it was gone! Nothing my two legs could do to match the speed of that V12 engine. We were in luck though! The Fighter jet turned again and then turned into the 4 Seasons Hotel and continued on to the Mandarin Oriental were it parked up and the owners were nice enough to let us get some pictures.

I believe this specific version only had a body kit from DMC and no engine enhancement, but let me tell you that body kit changes the whole road presence of the Aventador! The front splitter makes the car look so much more aggressive from the front and the wing on the back just perfectly compliments the rear styling of the Lamborghini Aventador.

DMC is a German aftermarket tuning company, who creates body kits and engine enhancing products for luxury cars, such as Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren. They recently released their new G-Class in Hong Kong. There also is a stunning white Huracan in Zürich, which I hope to see sometime soon. If you are interested in some more pictures, head over to my Instagram (53nordphotography) and also DMC's Instagram account.

Getting Ready for the Auto Salon

It's been almost a year now and the Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner. I have now been living in Geneva for a bit more than two years and I have to say the Salon keeps getting better and better! Not am I only super excited about the cars in the show, but also the people attending and the cars that will be hanging out around Geneva. One of the people I hope I'll get to see is Alejandro Salomondrin! If you don't know him you should definietly check him out on Youtube and Instagram. He said he was coming here with #CUPGANG and I hope that I'll catch them one of those days. Otherwise Geneva has been pretty quite, when it comes to cars. There where some Ferraris a Mansory and a Gallardo crusing around today, but nothing out of the ordinary. Here are some pics I took a while back of the DMC Aventador from Duabi :)

3 Aventadors in Geneva

Yesterday something truly awesome happened! I was at home studying for my exams when I got a text from my friend letting me know that there where two Lambos parked outside the 4 Sesons hotel in Geneva. I grabbed my camera right away and went down to the train station to grab the next train heading into Geneva. Once there I ran down to the 4 Seasons in hope of still catching the two to get some pictures. On my way there I caught sight of an Aventador in a side alley and when I turned around to look it was the two my friend told me about, but there was third one as well!!

Needless to say I got out my camera immediately to start taking pictures. I'll put them below. I also filmed the Aventadors while they where driving. I followed them to the other side of the bridge where they stopped at a traffic light and there I had the opportunity to talk to the owners for a second. After seeing the one license plate, which belonged to one of the guys from Future Photography, I asked if it was them and they said yes. I then talked to them some more and found out they where just up in the mountains for a photoshoot when a snowstorm came along and they had to leave again.

After that the cars drove off leaving me with pictures and some awesome footage! Thanks to the Future Photography team for all that. You can check out their work here: http://www.futurephotography.ch

A quick note to the pictures: It was getting dark at the time I was taking the pictures and they where almost always driving so most of the pictures turned out a bit unsharp, so I apologize for that, but I hope you like them anyway :)

And if any of you ever wondered what an Aventador sounds like watch this video I took!

Matte White Lamborghini Aventador

So I was in the city a bit ago when I came across this spectacular Aventador. Personally I love the matte white detailing on the Aventador although not everyone is such a big fan of it.

The Aventador has a 6.5 liter V12 engine putting out entire 700 PS. It has a carbon fiber monocoque and aluminum front and rear frames. The V12 engine propels the Aventador to 100 kmh (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds and then keeps accelerating to a top speed of 350 kmh (217 mph). The base price of the Aventador, according to Wikipedia, is $393,695.

Lamborghini has gone on to produce a limited number of special edition Aventadors to honor the 50th anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini, the LP 720-4 50°. There where 200 cars made: 100 coupe and 100 roadster. The 50th anniversary edition has a 20 PS power increase, but with power comes price and in this case it's a $106,300 increase from the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, which puts the LP 720-4 50° at $548,00 base price.

Anyway here are the pictures of the Aventador I saw:
